when i was 'in', that of course was a big thing, and i well knew all the scriptures and resonings behind it.. not long ago i saw a u tube video that took me into deepest space from the hymalian mountains and back in again.

what struck me was the shear immensity of just our own universe, let alone the rest of the known one.

i realized how tiny tiny nothing this little planet is.

I could never understand why jehovah did not simply kill off adam and eve, any desenting angels etc and start again. Kill em all off for gods sake and start with a whole new batch... you mess with me and lookout! Its not like he is not prepared to kill 7 billion humans an unknown demon angels anyway.

When i was 'in', that of course was a big thing, and i well knew all the scriptures and resonings behind it.

Not long ago i saw a U tube video that took me into deepest space from the hymalian mountains and back in again. What struck me was the shear immensity of just our own universe, let alone the rest of the known one. I realized how tiny tiny nothing this little planet is. That we can go so far out that our entire solar system is simply invisible, Too small to show up at all.

I recenty recieved an email with all the planets in our solar system lined up with each other... Again, we just are too small to be seen in the cosmos.

The other night i watched SBS program on Saturn. Absolutely mind boggling what is out there. In the very very far background from the satelite probe photo was a teeny weeny dot that was our sun.

I can no longer entertain the notion that two Invisible presence's are using the happenings on this nothing of a planet as some sort of testing ground for the entire known and unknown universe.

I find the concept to be arrogant in the highest degree.

I used to be like, wow, how vast the universe is, "what glory it brings to the creator Jehovah".

Now i feel sick at the stupidity of the notion.

My story and help needed.

i have been posting here and there for a few weeks but never introduced myself.

i will do that now because i really am in bad shape and in need of someone to listen.. i was raised in new york in the projects during the crack boom in the 80's.

my dad was an abusive drunk non believer and my mom dragged us to meetings.

There has always been wars and poverty. I have no doubt that somebody living and fighting in the days of Egypt, persia, greece, rome, the huns, the mongols, the dark ages etc also felt the end must be comming soon.

The end did come for those worlds, as it surely will for our modern day civilizations. Who knows, one day the dominant world powers may be India or china or some as yet unheard of country.

You feel a pull to do something? Then change how you choose to look at the world and life!

Because you cannot change anything else, period.

I dont mean it to sound cold... but it is true none the less.

i was worried that once i move out i'd regret my decision but i knew right away that i made the right decision.

i was nervous about telling him.

when i moved out i was surprised how relaxed i was

BUT please be aware of oncomming danger:

He can change his mind and want more of the split. He can turn nastier than you would imagine. The Jws will help him not you.

do not automatically trust him.

Do get legal advice ASAP. and i mean NOW!

Need help picking an engagement ring

ladies please weigh in.... i am seriously thinking about buying an engagment this summer.

first, we are both early 30's make about the same roughly (50k) a year.. i am thinking getting a decent quality diamond .90 carat on a platinum ring... seems to be about $3800-4500k price wise.. please be honest..... i saw the ring her x gave her.. it was yellow gold with a white gold top where some side stones were and a .66 to center stone was set that was a "gift".

granted she picked it out.. 1. my ring must be way better than the one her x gave her.. 2. i won't propose without a ring so taking her to pick on out is not an option.

wannabefree... i seriously doubt a photographer went out with the 'pioneers' and took that photo. I would think it far more likely to be a photo provided by the WT society for the new yorker story. It IS misleading the public. Do you think the WT soc is not capable of fostering a deception like this?

i have seen some of these bound bibles with the reasoning book, the ones i saw still had the 'new world translation' on the front. Maybe others replaced it with 'holy bible'.

my point with the photo is not whether the NWT is good or bad etc etc...

the point is 99.99 % of jws DO NOT use a bible like this in the door to door work. Those who do are trying to give a false impression.
